Google Play Developer API for reviews
The Google Play Developer API's reviews resource lets you read your app's reviews and publish replies, within limits you have to plan around: a 7-day window, hourly and daily quotas, and 350 characters per reply.

Give the API access
- Authorize with a service account or an OAuth client.
- For a service account, turn on the Reply to reviews permission for it in Play Console. The same permission lets people reply in Play Console.

POST https://www.googleapis.com/androidpublisher/v3/applications/{packageName}/reviews/{reviewId}:reply
{ "replyText": "Thanks for the report. Version 2.4.1 fixes the crash on start." }Limits to plan around
- Only reviews written or changed in the last 7 days. Check at least once a day so new reviews don't slip past that window.
- Only your production app, and only reviews that include text.
- Per app, 200 read requests an hour and 2,000 replies a day. Google has a form for asking for more.
Questions developers ask
Can I reply to Google Play reviews through the API?
Yes: POST …/reviews/{reviewId}:reply with replyText. Sending it again replaces your earlier reply.
Why doesn't the API return older reviews?
It only returns reviews created or changed in the last 7 days, and only ones with text.
How long can a reply be?
350 characters of plain text. HTML tags are removed.
Which permission does a service account need?
Reply to reviews, turned on for that service account in Play Console.
Can I read reviews in my own language?
Yes. Add translationLanguage, and use originalText to see what the reviewer actually wrote.
Is reviewerLanguage the language of the review?
Not always: it comes from the reviewer's device settings. Look at the text itself before you choose the language of your reply.

Merci AI checks Google Play for new reviews every 6 hours, well inside the 7-day window, drafts each reply in the reviewer's language and within 350 characters, and publishes it only when you click Publish. In Play Console you invite it with the Reply to reviews permission, for the apps you pick.
